Design Story ~ A Journey Through Jewelry
Ayla Pendant
Be like the moon and make change beautiful. Our Ayla Necklace pays homage to the moon’s phases with its crescent outlined in a beautiful textile pattern within a round pendant of a full moon.

Honoring The Moon's Beauty
Our design process is an evolutionary one—just like the moon. We plant seeds of inspiration during the new moon, a time of quiet intention, and as the moon waxes, our designs slowly take shape. Ironically, even though we don’t intentionally schedule our creative process around lunar cycles, we often find ourselves in sync with them.
This natural rhythm is reflected in how our ideas unfold and transform into tangible pieces.

As the moon waxes, we take thoughtful, deliberate action—just as we do in our jewelry-making process. With every new piece, there is a flow—a rhythm. There are challenges along the way, but they fuel our perseverance and creativity.
And just like the moon, we go through phases of inspiration, refinement, and transformation.
For centuries, saints and sages, farmers and healers, and ancient cultures across the world have turned to the moon’s phases as a guide. The new moon, when the sky is dark and the moon is hidden from view, is a time for reflection, stillness, and setting intentions. It is in this silent space that ideas are planted, waiting for the right moment to bloom.

The Story Of Our Ayla Pendant
Our Ayla Pendant was the final piece in a series of designs inspired by the moon’s luminous beauty. Our original casting collection has always been influenced by natural elements—the phases of the moon, the vast night sky, and the textures and patterns found in traditional textiles. The challenge with Ayla was to create a design that married both celestial and earthly influences in a single, harmonious piece.

The series began with two textile-inspired crescent designs. Then, in a design session that (not coincidentally) took place under the waning crescent moon in September 2018, Ayla was born.
At first, the design was purely crescent-shaped, but Kristina’s exquisite execution of the illustration sparked an idea—Stacy suggested encircling the crescent with a halo, creating a round medallion that would capture both the crescent and full moon in one luminous form. The result was a unique fusion of shadow and light, embodying the ever-changing beauty of the lunar cycle.

Once a design is complete, a mantra naturally emerges. Sometimes, it reflects the visual essence of the piece. Other times, it aligns with a spiritual lesson unfolding in Stacy’s life. During her meditations, a seed is planted—an idea, a feeling, a vision—and in the process of collaboration, Kristina brings that vision to life. Together, they weave intention and artistry into each creation.
The name Ayla was chosen with great care. It means “halo of light”, a perfect reflection of the pendant’s luminous design and deeper meaning.
This is our life’s work. This is Ayla.
Meaning Behind The Mantra
Make Change Beautiful
The moon teaches us this every day—waxing, waning, shifting through phases, yet always returning to fullness. Change is inevitable, but when we embrace it with grace, it becomes something truly beautiful.
