A Spark of Inspiration: The Story Behind the Ember Collection
Every piece we create begins with a feeling—an impression, a memory, a spark of something seen or experienced. The Ember Collection is a reflection of that process. It’s rooted in contrast and beauty, inspired by the textures, colors, and places that have moved us along the way.

As a team, we are constantly gathering inspiration. Whether it’s the vibrant layers of a Moroccan spice market, the intricate strands of gemstones at a trade show, or the rhythmic patterns left by the tide on Stinson Beach—these visual moments take root in our minds and eventually bloom into design. Sometimes the seed of an idea lies dormant for years, only to be awakened by a new material or technique in the studio.

What stands out most in the Ember Collection is its bold contrast. We embraced mixed metals this season, combining rich gold tones with oxidized silver to evoke a moody elegance that speaks to change—the way light shifts in autumn or how ancient architecture bears the marks of time. The vibrant gemstones—lapis, ruby, and malachite—amplify this feeling, adding moments of color that stir the soul without overwhelming the senses.
The sculptural forms of our metalwork reflect our ongoing dialogue with nature. A walk through the redwoods or an afternoon spent in the garden becomes a quiet teacher. We study the balance of symmetry and asymmetry, the unexpected perfection in a scatter of fall leaves or the graceful curve of a shell. These organic forms influence the way our pieces feel—intentional, yet never rigid.

One distinct thread woven through this collection is our use of pearls—soft, luminous, and full of meaning. Their presence throughout Ember was inspired by vintage finds in the Paris flea markets, where pearl-laced Art Nouveau treasures caught our eye. Pearls hold a special energy. As the only gemstone created by a living being, they remind us that beauty often comes from within—and through time, pressure, and transformation.

We may not always realize it in the moment, but when we step back and view the collection as a whole, we see the reflection of our experiences. Our walks, our travels, our shared curiosity and reverence for the world—each leaves an imprint on what we create.

With Ember, our hope is to offer more than adornment. We hope these pieces stir something familiar in you—perhaps a memory, a place, or simply a feeling of aliveness. Jewelry that feels like a reflection of the self, not a costume. A quiet whisper of vibrancy and strength, meant to be worn, loved, and lived in.
